my space... (not the web site... my actual space)

years ago i came across this picture in a vogue living magazine...

i tore it out, pasted it into my scrap book & decided that one day i would have a table just like this, i would have brown paper patterns hanging in a corner & inspirational pictures on the walls.

it was going to be my studio. now years later here it is....

ok... i have a bright pink wall, its not all white & im still waiting on a big beautiful window, but i love it. i think i want to rip up the carpet & paint the concrete floor white but i haven't decided, i guess i would need to buy some rugs.

my brown paper patterns... i found the clothing rack at ikea for all of $10.00! :)

i had my eye on this book for weeks now...

and now that i finally have it i flick through its pages everyday for inspiration & every time i find something new. thank you Valentino!

work in progress & this is the end result... i do have another necklace im working on but it's not quite finished.


im thinking of some new designs to be ready in time for spring, i have started to notice spring pieces filter into stores and im feeling quite inspired.

as well as the necklaces, im also starting to look for fabrics to design a new range of bags. florals, eclectic prints, silks, lilacs, soft corals.. i guess hunting through fabric stores will be job for monday....

inspiration...

here is part of my inspiration wall from my studio, it changes all the time, pictures, cards, fabrics... sometimes i remove everything and just leave a couple of images, but then i slowly build it up again.

work in progress...

sometimes a work in progress looks just as nice as the finished product. im working on a new necklace, a couple actually, inspired by the colours of the new luella collection & the cover of last months australian vogue...

thank you to a flair to remember for posting a step by step guide on how to turn your digital photos into polaroids. i think im addicted!

im torn....

i love clean simple photos... white backgrounds with strong images, black & grey tones. metallic. a strong statement

i also love colour, soft tones & clashing bright colours, textures, patterns, layers, shades of pink, coral, red...

( i love this skirt! its appears quite a bit on the site..)

my photographer & friend Anitra (I'm very lucky to have such creative & talented friends!) did a wonderful job bringing both of these styles to life. she arrived with a vast array of props collected from around the globe that we used in some of the photos..




cant wait to start working on the next shoot....

in the begining.....

i was lucky enough to have the help of my good friend lady melbourne when styling my first photoshoot... a day of dressing up, mixing & matching and changing our minds was made all the more fun..
