a very good friend of mine turned 30 this week, a special birthday requiring a special gift. i was hunting for a while & i decided on these lovely butterflies. melbourne designer lightly hunts through op shops looking for interesting vintage plates that can be turned into these butterflies. it was difficult to give them away, they would look wonderful in my kitchen.

some photos of my new range of fascinators... (not very good quality photos, ill have to work on that..) my appointments are going well, i have been staying up late every night, I'm tired & looking forward to a sleep in tomorrow!

here are some bows that i made over the weekend (with the help of my mum!) they will be placed on combs with some netting. i love the colours, very luella.

im starting my fascinator appointments this week, as i am very disorganised & last minute (i try to convince my husband that all creative people are disorganised & last minute, its just part of our charm) there will be a lot of late night in the studio to ensure the range is finished & ready to go. good thing i slept in this morning.....

i found something new...

i have found a amazing new blog today.... igor & andre , 3 of my favourite bloggers have been immortalized in these wonderful illustrations. sea of shoes = amazing clothes, cherry blossom girl = inspirational photography (it makes you want to move to paris and live next door), betty is my favourite, its her hair.. i just love her hair. i don't have the courage to cut a fringe like hers but eveytime i look at her blog i want to.

i just love this shoot.... im currently looking around my house, studio, garden, other peoples homes... etc scanning areas, looking for inspiration & trying to work out how i can recreate something like this for the next lulki shoot, are you feeling inspired anitra?

everything is perfect, it feels like your looking into someones private world, capturing a piece of their day. i love the pink flowers in the first photo & the lovely chair in the third.
