Christmas.

Before my Christmas decorations are packed away for another year, I thought I would share them here with you.

I have been collecting bits and pieces over the past few years, adding a couple of new pieces each season.

I never theme my tree, all of my ornaments have stories behind them & I love adding to the collection. I have glass baubles from my mum and grandmother as well as fragile hand painted pieces from Germany and Poland, beautiful decorations my husband & I picked up on our travels and carried carefully all the way home.

My new favourite things... a high gloss white butlers table (a place for my magazines) a milk glass bowl that perfectly displays my collection of cocktail rings & broaches and a used candle holder which now doubles as a jewellery box for my ever growing bracelet & bangle stack.

Bentwood

I have a bentwood chair, it's quite ugly, it's pea green and covered in chips and scratches. I saved it from being thrown away. It needs a HEAP of love and care but soon it will look just as lovely as this red one , only in white.

After a lazy breakfast with friends on Smith Street, I ended up at the first Finders Keepers market in Melbourne, I found these necklaces and feel in LOVE. I have my heart set on the giant cluster necklace in antique gold, $89.00 from www.pigeonhole.com.au

New colours: Pale grey, light blue, chocolate & white. {remove all orange & red}

Walls: Feature wall covered in embossed white wallpaper to replicate the look of pressed tin panels. {cover existing dark grey wall}

Nice combination of boy & girl {no pink}

Can not wait to start. {as soon as I find the right embossed wallpaper}

100th post, recording my day, stolen idea, my photos.

recording my day: quick appointment in the morning, 19min, found old issues of vogue living on my way home filled with inspiration for the new dream (currently a fantasy) home, stopped at a cafe, ran into a dear friend who has all that i hope for (inspirational), quick / lovely chat, coffee: tall, strong, one sugar (changed from tall, weak, 2 sugars) made a BIG decision, butterflies,excitement, home, played with jack (boxer) but not a boxer dog, not really a dog you understand. he is currently asleep on the bed, my bed. took some photos, featuring orchids from my mums garden (i have an endless supply at this time of year) impressed with photos, im checking the setting on the SLR as this was 'point & shoot". started reading some new blogs. did something that makes me anxious but shouldn't.(good) now: more coffee, (instant, 2 sugars, dash of milk, blue cup) get jack off the bed & into the studio.
