where do the days go???

im working on a collection of fascinators for this coming racing season... i have been putting together & pulling apart pieces all day, but i think things are starting to work...

as well as designing & making all the pieces, i have also been calling stores this week to set up appointments to view the range, this always makes me nervous! i have a few stores that are interested, some would like to see photos before committing to an appointment so ill be getting up early tomorrow to photograph some of my favourite pieces.... i should have photographed everything today but im a night owl, the days seem to slip away & i feel the most creative in the afternoon & evening. i try to get up early & work during the day but it never seems to happen that way!

how do i choose?

my site has been up and running for a month now and i still do not have a business card! when people ask me "what is the address?" i have to spell it out..... lulki.com.au, i don't just hand over a lovely colour, matt laminate, perfect business card.

why???

i just cant decide on a design.... its something i will look at everyday, its a reflection of me & of my business. how does one choose?!

all i know for sure is that i want a pattern on the front and all of the information & the lulki logo on the back.

here are my 2 options

something light, subtle, i don't think ill get tired of this design.

bright, colourful, i love it now but will i love it 1000 business cards over?

what do you think? I'm leaning toward option 1...

where is lula??

i have just recently discovered Lula magazine & I'm hooked! I'm waiting patiently for the next issue... does anyone know when it will be available? i would hate to miss out, most newsagents only receive 1 or 2 issues so its first in, best dressed!

years ago i came across this picture in a vogue living magazine...

i tore it out, pasted it into my scrap book & decided that one day i would have a table just like this, i would have brown paper patterns hanging in a corner & inspirational pictures on the walls.

it was going to be my studio. now years later here it is....

ok... i have a bright pink wall, its not all white & im still waiting on a big beautiful window, but i love it. i think i want to rip up the carpet & paint the concrete floor white but i haven't decided, i guess i would need to buy some rugs.

my brown paper patterns... i found the clothing rack at ikea for all of $10.00! :)
